Support

Getting help with Buzzbelt.

There's no ticketing system and no live chat behind this app — there's no server for either to run on. This is the whole of it: check the questions below first, then one email address for everything else.

Check the questions first

Most of what people ask about Buzzbelt is already answered, in plain language, on the Questions page — range, battery, encryption, accounts, whether a member can impersonate the leader. Read the honest limits too if something isn't behaving the way you expected; several things that look like bugs are actually the app being honest about what it can't do yet.

Reporting a bug

Email buzzbelt@aralel.com with what happened, what you expected instead, your phone model and OS version (Settings → About phone), and whether anyone else nearby saw the same thing. There's no crash reporting or analytics in the app — nothing about what happened on your phone reaches us on its own — so what you describe is the only account of it there'll ever be.

Everything else

Feature requests, questions about deploying it for a group or organisation (see the guide for organisations), press, or anything not covered above — same address: buzzbelt@aralel.com. This is a small team; expect a reply in days, not hours.

What support does not cover

  • Finding a missing person. Buzzbelt is not a locator. Call the person, then the police — see honest limits.
  • Recovering messages after uninstalling. Conversations live on the phone that had them. Nothing is backed up anywhere else, because there's nowhere else.
  • Account recovery. There's no account to recover — no sign-up, no password, no email tied to your name in the app.
