3 of 5 — Setup

There is nothing to set up at the coach door.

No group to create, no code to scan, no screen to pass around while bags go in the hold. Today, installing the app the night before is the only setup there is.

  1. Before the day — everyone installs the app

The only step that needs the internet. Put it in the kit list with the boots and the water bottle, and check it at the gate rather than on the pavement. Nothing after this point needs a signal.

  2. Everyone opens it and picks a name

That's the whole join. Whoever has the app open and is in Bluetooth range of the others is already in the one shared conversation — there's no code to show or scan yet.

There's no group boundary yet — say so before you rely on it.

Because joining is just opening the app, anyone else running Buzzbelt within Bluetooth range shares the same conversation as your group, whether you meant to invite them or not. A private, invite-only group — the QR code at departure this section used to promise — is planned, not built. Read the honest limits before you decide what to say through it.
